The Library of B. Vodnik-Drechsler

The poetic debut of the poet Petar Preradović from the collection of B. Vodnik-Drechsler

The library of the Croatian literary historian and critic Branko Vodnik-Drechsler (1879–1926) comprises mainly the principal works of Croatian and Serbian literary studies and linguistics, mostly from the 19th and early 20th centuries. It also includes the first editions of the classic authors of South Slavic literatures (Stanko Vraz, Petar Preradović, Petar Petrović Njegoš and others). An exceptional item is a translation of the Roman rite Ritual rimski istomaccen slovinski made by the Croatian grammarian and religious writer Bartol Kašić, printed in Rome in 1640.
