By addressing the problems and accommodations necessary to adapt the UDC structure as it is used in Central Europe and more specifically at the National Library to the DDC structure as it is typically used in North America and by clearly identifying the varied elements of the national collection the groundwork for the use of the conspectus in other Czech libraries as well as other libraries in the region has now been laid.
