Life and Work of Vincenz Pilz
March 14 – April 28, 2018
A panel exhibition, included in the project supported by the European Union through the regional development fund, presents the extensive and diverse work of sculptor Vincenz Pilz (1816-1896). His works were intended mostly for public spaces. He made a bust of P. J. Šafařík for the Prague university library, the copy of which was placed in the Panthenon of the National Museum. However, most of his works are to be found in Vienna.

Czech Authors in Persian Translations – Literary Art and Professional Works, Translated and Published in Iran
March 15 – April 28, 2018
An exhibition documenting how the Iranian public gradually looks for and builds up the relation to Czechoslovak and later Czech culture through the mediation of translations of Czech authors into Persian. It is surprising and pleasing at the same time that such a small country can be proud of so many translations into so formally and geographically distant language.
