100 Years of Czech-Norwegian Diplomatic Relations

The panel exhibition documenting a century of mutual diplomatic relations. Do you know that the Czechoslovak Army used backpacks produced by the Norwegian company Bergans as early as 1923? That the Consulate General of Norway was once seated in the famous Prague house U Rotta? Or that more than one thousand Czechoslovak children spent their summer holidays in children camps near Oslofjord during the Cold War? These and many other surprising facts are presented at the display 100 Years of Czech-Norwegian Diplomatic Relations. The display consists of ten large posters featuring a summary of the greatest achievements, as well as several unfortunate events that happened during the 100-year bilateral relationship between the two countries that are close partners in today´s Europe.

100th Anniversary of the Aid to Russians in Czechoslovakia (1921–2021)

The exhibition commemorates 100th anniversary of the rise and the course of the Czechoslovak aid to Russian émigrés – a unique financial and organizational support programme of the Czechoslovak government to Russian emigrés escaping from Bolsheviks.

Ex oriente lux. Between Orient and the Awakening of the Czech Nation: Rudolf Dvořák (1860–1920)

Poster - Opening ceremony

The exhibition dedicated to life anniversary of Rudolf Dvořák, first Professor of Oriental Studies at Czech Charles-Ferdinand University, an Arabist, Iranian specialist, Turcologist and Sinologist, who played an important role in the development of Egyptology cuneiform studies. He participated in organization of scientific life at University and Czech Academy of Sciences and Arts.
