Since March 11, 2020, cultural events in the Mirror Chapel of the Klementinum, the Klementinum Gallery and regular guided tours for tourists in historical premises have been cancelled.
95 Years of the Czech PEN Club

The exhibition presents correspondence, documents and photographs that originated and have been preserved during the decades of activities of the former Czechoslovak and later Czech PEN Club, established by Karel Čapek on February 15, 1925 to promote freedom of speech and press. Čapek was the first president of the Czechoslovak PEN Club, followed by such personalities like Anna Marie Tilschová, Vítězslav Nezval, Adolf Hoffmeister, Jiří Mucha, Ivan Klíma or Jiří Stránský, honorary president of Czech PEN was also Václav Havel. This display is an extended version of the exhibition of 2015. It has been organised thanks to the cooperation with the Literary Archive of the Museum of Czech Literature.

The Horizon – Latvia Celebrates 100 Years
6 February – 28 March, 2020
The omnipresent sense of horizon is characterictic of Latvian landscape, either in the countryside and in city areas. The display, prepared by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Latvia in association with the National Library of Latvia, features important architectural and natural monuments of the country. Through them it presents history and the present state of this Baltic republic. Contemporary photos of landscape are to be seen together with paintings of landscape from the Latvian collection of treasures of the National Library of Latvia also at lnb.lv.
